3tier Wedding Cake Recipe Can be Done at Home

Make this beautiful 3-tier wedding cake at home that usually costs Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,00 a day nowadays. You can bake the cake tiers in cake moulds of 9 inch, 7 inch, and 4 inch and then stack them together to make this cake. Ingredients

 

  • Cake premix - 600gm, 400gm & 100 gm
  • Water - 350 ml, 250 ml and 1/3rd cup
  • Oil - 6tbsp, 4 tbsp & 1 tbsp
  • Whipped Cream - 9 to 10 cups
  • 1/4 cup Curd (plain yogurt)
  • Cocoa powder - 8 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar - 12 tbsp
  • Milk - 1/3rd cup & Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Pink fuschia food gel
  • Golden sugar balls

Directions

 

  • Line three 9-inch, 7-inch, and 4-inch cake moulds with Ecobake cooking paper. Take a bowl, add 600 gm of if premix, 6 tbsp of oil and 350 ml of water to make the cake batter. Transfer the batter to the 9-inch cake mould. Bake the cake for 45 to 50 minutes in a preheated vessel on the stove.
  • Take 400 gm of premix, 4 tbsp of oil, and 250 ml of water to prepare the cake batter. Transfer it to a 7-inch cake mould. Bake the cake for 30 to 35 minutes. Combine 100gm premix, 1 tablespoon oil, and 1/3 cup water in a mixing bowl; pour into a 4 inch cake mold.Bake this cake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Cool the cakes and split each cake into three equal layers. Take chilled whipping cream in a mixing bowl, add cocoa powder and powdered sugar to the same bowl and beat them together until stiff peaks are formed. Melt dark chocolate compounds in milk and add butter to make chocolate ganache.
  • Soak each layer of cake with sugar syrup and crumb coat each cake tier. Chill each cake tier for a while. Put whipping cream in a bowl and beat it until stiff peaks are formed. Transfer this white cream into two bowls. Frost the bottom cake tier with white cream and decorate it with a double-colored rose.
  • Add pink fuschia gel food colouring to a bowl of whipping cream and use it for frosting the second cake tier. Using a skewer, make zigzag patterns and decorate with golden sugar balls. Attach both the cakes using straws or dowels.
  • Frost the third cake tier with white cream and sprinkle some sugar balls on the sides of the cake. Attach the three tiers of the cake with skewers. Decorate the cake with roses made using a flower nail. The wedding cake is ready.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gram Flour (Besan/Chickpea Flour)
  • 1 tablespoon Semolina (rava/sooji), optional
  • 1½ teaspoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon crushed Green Chilli-Ginger (or paste)
  • 1/4 cup Curd (plain yogurt)

Directions

  • Take all ingredients to prepare batter.
  • Pour approx. 2-3 cups water in steamer at bottom and heat it over medium flame.
  • Make sure that steamer is at least 4-5 minutes heated before placing the plates (filled with batter) in it.
  • Grease 2 small plates or thalis (4-5 inch diameter) using 1-teaspoon oil.
