Easy Breakfast Recipe: Rava Dhokla

About the Recipe

Rava Besan Dhokla is a simple and easy breakfast recipe. Rava, besan and curd are the main ingredients to make this recipe. You can cook this recipe within half an hour. Ecobake helps in getting the perfect dhokla shape without any greasing and no need for cleaning afterwards.

Ingredients

 

  • Rava - 1 cup & Besan - 1/2 cup
  • Curd - 1 cup & Eno - 1 tsp
  • Ginger and green chilli paste - 2 tbsp
  • Oil, salt, water and sugar
  • Mustard seeds and curry leaves

Directions

 

  • Add rava and besan in the mentioned quantities to a bowl. Add 1 cup of curd to the same bowl and mix well. Add 1 tbsp of sugar and salt as per taste to the rava batter.
  • Add oil, green chilli, and ginger paste to the batter and mix well. Add Eno and water and adjust the consistency of the batter. Rest it for a while.
  • Preheat the steamer for a few minutes with water in it. Transfer the batter to a cake mould lined with Ecobake cooking paper and place it in the steamer. Cook the dhokla for 15 minutes.
  • When the knife comes cleanly out of the pot, turn off the heat. Heat oil and temper mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add the dhokla cubes to it and fry for a while.
