Make This Delightful Cassata Icecream At Home

About the Recipe

Cassata icecream can be made with several flavours of icecream and a cake sponge. Here we have used mango, rose, and pista icecream bases. Ecobake helps in getting the perfect shape for your icecream. It also helps to keep the 3 flavours of icecream intact on the cake sponge in a freezer container.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 Cup whip cream & 1/3 Cup condensed milk
  • 1/3 Cup mango puree & 2 Tbsp tutti frutti
  • 1/2 Tsp rose essence & 1 Drop pink colour
  • 1/2 Tsp pista essence & 1 Drop green colour
  • 2.5 Tsp sugar powder & 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1/4 Tsp vanilla essence & 1/4 Cup milk
  • 1/4 Cup all purpose flour, 1 Pinch baking powder & 1 Pinch baking soda

Directions

 

  • Put whipped cream in a bowl and whisk until it is fluffy. Add condensed milk to the same bowl and mix well. Put 1/3rd of the cream into a separate bowl and add mango puree and tutti fruity to the cream. Combine all the ingredients together. Divide and put the remaining cream in 2 separate bowls to prepare rose and pista icecream bases.
  • Take a round cylindrical container lined with Ecobake cooking paper. Transfer the mango icecream base to it and cover it with Ecobake. Freeze this container for 6 hours. Meanwhile, make the cake sponge by baking the cake batter for 20 minutes on a low flame in a preheated vessel.
  • Once the cake sponge is baked and cooled, cut it into three parts as shown and fit it into the freezing container lined with Ecobake, Place two Ecobake cooking papers to set the icecream and the cake sponge. Place the mango icecream the base on the sponge.
  • Pour the pista icecream base on the mango icecream and freeze it for 6 hours. After 6 hours, put the rose icecream base on the green icecream in a freezer container. Refregirate this for 6 hours. Garnish the ice cream with chopped nuts. Remove the Ecobake paper and cut the cassata icecream into slices.
