Rice Kheer with a Secret Trick

Are you craving a simple evening dessert? This traditional rice kheer will come to your rescue. Today we are going to make rice kheer with a twist. Oddy Ecobake cooking paper circle helps you make the praline, which will add a rich taste and flavour to your kheer.

Ingredients

 

  • Rice - 1/2 cup & Ghee
  • Dry fruits, Milk & Sugar - 1 cup
  • Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circle

Directions

 

  • Rinse the rice in water. Strain the excess water and leave the rice in the strainer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, Heat ghee in a pan and roast rice in it. Transfer 2 tbsp of rice to a mixer jar.
  • Grind it with cashews and milk to make a coarse paste. Crush the remaining rice using a cup or steel tumbler. Boil milk in a pan and add the crushed rice and rice cashew paste to it once the milk starts boiling.
  • In another pan, add ghee and sauté dry fruits in it. Add sugar to the same pan and let it melt. Then transfer this mixture to a plate lined with an Oddy Ecobake cooking paper circle. Let it dry to form the praline.
  • Crush the praline and add it to the kheer. Let it melt and mix well with the kheer. Garnish the kheer with chopped dry fruits. Your tasty rice kheer is ready!
