Steamed Pakoda with Wheat Flour & Methi Leaves

Ingredients

 

  • Methi leaves - 1 cup & Salt - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp & Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ajwain - 1 tsp & White sesame seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice from 1 lemon & Oil - 1 to 2 tsp
  • Wheat flour - 1 cup & Besan - 1/2 cup
  • Green chilli ginger paste - 1/2 tsp & Water as needed
  • Oil - 1 tsp, curry leaves, hing - 1/2 tsp
  • White sesame seeds - 1 tbsp & Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • In a bowl, clean the methi leaves and remove the excess water. To make the dough, add the masalas one at a time, followed by the wheat flour and besan.
  • Mix everything with your hands to prepare the dough. Take a small portion of the dough and transfer it to a steaming plate lined with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Flatten the dough by pressing it with your hands. Steam the flattened dough for 6 to 7 minutes in a steamer. Once the dough is steamed, cut it into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan; add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, and white sesame seeds to prepare the tempering. Garnish the steamed methi pakodas with the tempering and enjoy!
