New Version Blackforest Cake

The new version Blackforest cake is eggless and uses less cream than regular Blackforest cake. A new technique of baking Blackforest cake is shared in this recipe. Before baking bake, line the cake tin with Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles. It is heat-resistant, safe to use, and grease-free.

Ingredients

 

  • Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles
  • 250 gm chocolate premix, 125 gm water
  • 120-150 gm whipped cream, 1 tbsp cherry compote
  • 1 cup chocolate shreds, chocolate ganache
  • N1 nozzle, red cherries edible silver color sugar balls

Directions

 

  • Prepare cake tin by lining it with Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles. In a bowl, take 250 gm chocolate premix, and 125 gm water. (Oil is optional).
  • Mix well for a smooth batter. Pour the batter into cake tin and bake in pre-heated oven for 30-35 mins at 180-degree temperature.
  • Once done, allow it to cool. Cut the cake into two equal layers. Place one layer and soak with water. Now add whipped cream and one tbsp cherry compote (take less cream than usual).
  • Mix both together. Spread evenly and on it add chocolate shreds. The place second cake layer upside down. Soak it with water.
  • Fill in any gaps with cream. Complete the crumb coating of cake. Next, complete the frosting. Use less whipped cream than usual for frosting.
  • Smoothen the sides and top part of the cake with a flat card scrapper. Using a triangle card scrapper create a circular design on the sides.
  • Coat the sides of the cake with chocolate shavings or shreds. Take a piping bag and fill in chocolate ganache. Make vertical lines with same chocolate ganache.
  • With a toothpick create horizontal lines on the cake which will create a web effect. Using N1 nozzle, create white flowers on the top of cake and place cherries on the flowers. Sprinkle some edible silver color sugar balls for decoration.
