Crispy Sesame Cookies

About the Recipe

A little, sweet, flat baked or cooked snack or dessert is called a cookie. Typically, it has flour, butter or oil, and sugar. They can be made with various flavours and baked in a stovetop or oven. This recipe demonstrates how to bake cookies from iron-rich toasted sesame seeds. The Oddy Ecobake, which is non-stick, food safe, and reusable numerous times, may be used to bake the sesame cookies to a flawless crisp and non-stick finish.

Ingredients

 

  • White sesame or till seeds- ½ cup & Unsalted butter-100 g
  • Powdered sugar – ½ cup & Vanilla essence – ½ tsp
  • Salt- ¼ tsp & All- purpose flour- 1 cup
  • Baking powder – ½ tsp & Milk- 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Roast sesame seeds on a low flame until they turn aromatic and golden brown. Switch off the flame and take them to a plate.
  • Line a baking tray with Oddy Ecobake. Whisk soft butter in a bowl for 5 minutes. Add powdered sugar, vanilla essence, and salt to it and whisk for 3 to 4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Add the sifted flour and baking powder to it and mix until they combine well. Then add the roasted sesame seeds to it and mix. crumble and mix to form a soft dough.
  • Mix milk into it if needed to make soft cookie dough. Take lemon-sized portions from the dough, press flat, and coat with roasted sesame seeds. Make all the cookies the same way and arrange them on the baking tray.
  • Preheat an oven for 10 minutes. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Remove it from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool.
  • You can also bake the cookies on a preheated kadai for 20 minutes on a low flame. The crispy outside and tender outside sesame cookies are ready to serve.
