Cake is the dessert for all and the best thing is you can innovate and make it better everytime. This time we are going to share with you the recipe of Idli Cake in Vanilla Flavour. It may sound complex but it is super easy to make and a treat to your taste buds.

Ingredients

 

  • ½ cup Milk Powder
  • ¾ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ Cup of Refined Oil
  • ¾ cup of Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla est
  • 2 tbsp Tutti frutti
  • ½ tsp Maida
  • 1/4th Cup of Refined Oil

Directions

 

  • To make batter for Idli Cake, take 1 cup(150gm) of Maida along with 1/2 cup Milk powder , 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoon vanilla powder, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda.
  • Must strain these dry ingredients into a bowl and mix them properly. Add 1/4 cup refined oil with 3/4 cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix properly.
  • While mixing make sure there is no lump in batter, it should be smooth.
  • After mixing, take 2 tablespoon tutti frutti and mix 1/2 teaspoon maida in it. Add these tutti frutti into batter and mix.
  • Now, transfer this batter into greased Idli molds, and garnish it with tutti frutti.
  • Put these molds in to Idli cooker which is preheated for 10 mins on low flame. Bake the better for 20-25 mins on low flame.
  • After 25 mins check the batter using a toothpick or knife, if it came out clean it means your batter is baked perfectly.
  • Let it cool down for some time, and demold them afterwards.
  • It is ready to serve, you can also pack it in Oddy Uniwraps food wrapping paper for lunch or to store in refrigerator. Uniwrap will keep it fresh for long time and maintain the moisture level of the cake, to prevent from drying out.
