Street style Palak Vada

About the Recipe

As the name suggests, palak vada is made of palak (spinach) and the richness of spices like cumin seeds, red chilli powder, dry mango powder and more. It is a perfect tea time snack and ver easy to prepare.

Use Oddy Ecobake for lining pans and reheat food in the oven. Wrap cooked foods before reheating to keep them from drying out or before keeping in fridge to maintain moisture

Ingredients

 

  • Palak (Spinach) - 1 cup ( washed & chopped)
  • Ginger, garlic and green chilly paste
  • Onion - 1 medium-sized (chopped)
  • Ajwain - 1/2 Tsp
  • Coriander - 1/2 Tsp
  • Salt for taste
  • Red chilly powder - 1/2 Tsp
  • Besan - 1 cup
  • Oil for deep frying
  • For chutney- Medium-sized tomato, khajoor, Kashmiri red chilli - 1 tsp and salt for taste

Directions

 

  • In a mixing bowl, add spinach and finely chopped onion. Now add ginger, garlic and chilly paste to it. Add all the spices. Mix all ingredients very well.
  • Then add 1 cup of besan for binding. Apply some oil in your hands and then small vadas out of the prepared mixture.
  • Spread out the vadas on an Oddy Brown Ecobake sheet so that it doesn't stick and your utensils are also not spoiled.
  • Put some oil in a kadhai and deep fry vadas.
  • For chutney, take a Medium-sized tomato and khajoor, Kashmiri red chilli powder and salt. Grind it in a mixer.
  • Serve hot Palak Vadas with prepared chutney.
