Best for birthday parties and small get togethers, chocolate balze cake is every kids’ favorite.. Rich in chocolate, this cake is as tasty as it looks. With fairly easy and simple recipe, you can try this cake at home easily.

Ingredients
- For Chocolate Sponge cake Maida or Refined flour- 1 cup+ 1/4 cup or-180 g approx
- Cocoa Powder- 4 tbsp or 40g approx
- Refined oil- 1/4 cup or 50 ml
- Sugar- 1/2 cup or 100g
- Milk- 1/2 cup +1/4 cup or 150 ml
- Vinegar- 1 tsp
- Baking powder- 1 tsp
- Baking Soda- 1/4 tsp
- For Chocolate Ganache Whipping cream(sweetened)- 1/2 cup or 100ml
- Dark chocolate compound- 200g
- Butter-. 1 tbsp
- For Chocolate Glaze Cocoa powder- 1/2 cup
- Sugar- 1/2 cup
- Water- 1/2 cup
- Chopped Dark chocolate Compound- 1/2 cup or 90g approx
- Fresh cream- 1/2 cup
Directions
- Take a 6 inch cake tin, line it with Oddy Ecobake baking and cooking paper, and set it aside for sometime.
- For the batter, in a mixer jar take ½ up of sugar with ¼ cup of refined oil, ½ cup milk and 1 tsp of vinegar. Give them a good mix on the mixer.
- Transfer the mixture in a bowl, now sieve in 1 + ¼ cup of all purpose flour, 4 Tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder and ¼ tsp of baking soda the bowl and mix them all well to make smooth and lump free batter.
- Now transfer the batter into the cake tin we have, give it a tap and place it in the preheated pan carefully and bake it for 40 mins on medium flame.
- When baked, demold it and set aside to cool down.
- To prepare chocolate ganache, take 200 gm of dark chocolate compound and chop it down. Transfer it to the bowl and add ½ cup of whipping cream, and 1 tbsp butter.
- Now to melt the chocolate we will use a double boiler. Melt it and mix them properly, and your chocolate ganache is ready. You can set it in the fridge for 30 mins to chicken it.
- Now for chocolate glaze, take ½ cup of water in a pan, add ½ cup of sugar. Boil it to make sugar syrup, now add ½ cup of cocoa powder, now add ½ cup of dark chocolate compound. Now add ½ cup of fresh cream and mix all things properly for 3-4 mins, while cooking.
- Take the cake sponge, and divide it into 3 layers, while trimming out the uneven layer from the top.
- Taking first layer, soak it with sugar syrup, spread a layer of chocolate ganache and place another layer on top, now repeat the process till the 3rd layer.
- Cover the cake completely from the ganache, and freeze it for 30 min.
- After 30 mins, take it out and pour the chocolate glaze on it as shown in the video.
- Now transfer the cake to a cake tray or some plate and decorate it using chocolate shavings, and place it in the freezer for 30 mins
- Decorate it using golden bowls and your cake is ready to serve.
