Domino’s Style Pizza Pockets

About the Recipe

Domino’s Style Pizza Pockets unique homemade snack. Easy to make with fewer ingredients. It can be fried in a kadhai and in the air fryer. Bake in an air fryer by lining it with Oddy Ecobake non-stick lining paper.

Ingredients

 

  • 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp yeast, & 1/ cup lukewarm water
  • 2 cups maida, salt to taste, 2 1/2 tsp olive oil, extra lukewarm water as per requirement ,
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1 sliced capsicum, Salt to taste,
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tbsp tomato sauce, 4 tbsp pizza sauce,
  • 100 gms paneer hand crushed and 100 gm paneer finely chopped,
  • 1 tsp Jalepenos chopped, 1 cup wheat flour, salt as per taste,
  • Some breadcrumbs, 2 tbsp mozeralla cheese and 2 cubes grated processed cheese

Directions

 

  • In a large mixing bowl take 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp dry yeast and lastly warm water. Mix the ingredients well till the sugar doesn't get dissolved. Cover and let it mixture rest for 10-15 mins to activate the yeast.
  • After 10-15 miutes the yeast will be nicely activated. Gie it nice stirr. Now add 2 cups maida, 1 tbsp olive oil, and alt a per taste.
  • Now slowly keep adding warm water while kneeding the dough. Kneed a soft and sticky dough. Lastly add 1 tsp oil olive and give it a nice mix. Cover and let it rest for 1-1.5 hours.
  • Next, in a pan add 1 tbsp olive oil, add 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1 thinly sliced capsicum, add salt as per taste. Give it nice stirr and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
  • After the capsicum have turned a bit soft, add 1 tbp kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tbsp tomato sauce, 4 tbsp pizza sauce. Now give it nice mix.
  • Next add 10 gms paneer roughly crushed by hands and 100 gm chopped into small cubes. (optional to add red capsicum, boiled sweet corns, onions and garlic). Next add 1 tsp chopped Jalepaneo. Now the stuffing is completed cooked. Allow it to rest and get cooled.
  • Make a slurry with 1/2 cup what flour, add salt as per taste and add water to give a watery texture to the slurry. Mix the slurry well and make sure there are no lumps. Keep bread crumps ready for coating. After the stuffing is cooled, add 3 tbsp mozerella cheese and 2 processed cheese cubes grated, and mix well.
  • Now take the rested dough and sprinkle some flour and puch out the air form the dough. Now add 1/2 tsp olive oil and give it a good last kneed. Make equal parts of the dough and roll it into large and slightly thick chapati size. Cut the side and the base and cut it out into size equal parts.
  • Now on each pocket, add pizza sauce. Brush water on the sides. Add 1 tsp stuffing, little mozerella. Fold it tightly. Now add a coating of slurry and coat it in breadcrumbs. Do the coating one more time.
  • In an air fryer, line it will Oddy Ecobake non stick liners, and place one half of pizza pockets and brush with oil. And cook it in air fryer. Remaining pizza pockets fry into kadhai. After frying both ways, the yummy Domino's style homemade pizza pockets is ready.
