Flavourful Jonna Rotti

About the Recipe

Jonna rotti is made with jowar, which can be done with a handful of ingredients. This is a very healthy yet simple recipe. Oddy Ecobake or Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circle helps to flatten the jonna rotti without dusting it with flour. It also helps you lift and place the roti on the tawa without any hassle.

Ingredients

 

  • Jowar - 3 cups & Water - 1.5 cups
  • Green chillies - 2 to 3 & Onion - 1
  • Chopped coriander and curry leaves
  • Salt - 1 tsp & red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Jaggery & Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circle

Directions

 

  • Take a plate and add jowar flour to it. Chop the green chillies, onions, coriander leaves, and curry leaves and keep them aside.
  • Take 1.5 cups of water in a vessel and heat it until the water starts boiling. Grind onion, red chilli powder, salt, and jaggery in a mixer jar.
  • Add the paste to the jowar flour. Add soaked chana dal to the jowar flour and make a dough with hot water.
  • Take a portion of the dough and flatten it on the Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circle with your fingers.
  • Transfer the flattened roti to the tawa by flipping the Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circle.
  • Gently remove it and cook the roti until brown spots appear on it. Your jonna rotti or jowar roti is ready!
