Dry Fruits Plum Cake

About the Recipe

Bake the fruits plum cake if you want to make a quick and wholesome dessert for your family and children. When making plum cakes, dry ingredients are combined with nuts and dried fruits that have been mixed to a caramelized sugar syrup. The plum cake is baked in a deep-bottomed pan, yet the cake is smooth because Oddy Ecobake, which is non-greasy, non-sticky, and reusable, is used to line the pan. It is also safe to use in an oven or on a stove because it is heat resistant.

Ingredients

  • Sugar-1/3 cup & Water-1/4 cup + 1/3 cup & Black raisins-2tbsp
  • Chopped almonds-2 tbsp & Chopped cashew-2 tbsp & Cherry-2 tbsp
  • Walnut-2 Tbsp & Wet dates-2 Tbsp & Tutti -frutti-3 Tbsp
  • Orange juice - 1/2 Cup & Sugar-1/3 Cup & Cinnamon-1/2 inch
  • Baking powder-1 tsp & Baking soda -1/2 tsp & Milk powder -1/3 cup
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

  • Melt sugar in a pan until it caramelizes. Add water to it after it caramelizes and turns brown; stir well; and turn off the flame after it comes to a boil.
  • Add dry fruits and nuts to it, stir well, and boil them in the caramelized syrup. Turn off the flame and let it cool completely.
  • Add orange juice to it, mix well, and let it rest. Line a baking pan with Oddy Ecobake. Add salt to a deep-bottomed vessel, spread it uniformly, keep a wire stand in it, cover it with a lid, and heat it.
  • Grind sugar along with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and cardamom. Now sift the sugar powder along with the dry ingredients and mix well with the dried fruits.
  • Mix well with water, gradually using the cut and fold method to make a smooth batter. Shift the batter into the baking pan; spread and tap well; and garnish with dry fruits.
  • Cover and bake it for 30 minutes at low heat. Remove the lid and add raisins, cashews, tutti-frutti, and cherries on top.
  • Cover and bake for another 15 minutes. Remove the lid and check with a toothpick—a clean toothpick means a perfectly baked cake. When completely cool, slice. The soft and spongy plum cake is ready.
