Hotel Style Main Course At Home With Bottle Gourd

About the Recipe

Make this hotel-style expensive gravy at home with louki or bottle gourd. It has a creamy texture and is aromatic. You do not need any fancy ingredients to make this recipe. Oddy Uniwraps brown paper helps in absorbing excess oil from Louki koftas.

Ingredients

 

  • Bottle Gourd & Hot oil
  • Besan & Tomatoes
  • Chilli powder, corinader powder
  • Garam masala, Fennel seeds powder
  • Cumin powder and salt
  • Cumin seeds, pepper & Biryani leaf
  • Butter milk & Kasuri methi
  • Turmeric and Green chillies

Directions

 

  • Grate the tomatoes and remove the peel. Roast besan in a pan and keep it aside for future use. Roast fennel seeds in a pan and grind them into a fine powder.
  • Add some ghee to a pan and roast the pepper, cumin seeds, and bay leaf. Add jeera powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, and fennel seed powder to the pan.
  • Add some water to the added masalas and cook well. Add the grated tomatoes to the pan and mix well. Add besan and butter milk to the paste and cook till the oil oozes out.
  • To make louki kofta, peel and grate the koftas. Add besan and the mentioned masala powders to the louki and combine them well. Make small louki balls and fry them in hot oil.
  • To absorb excess oil, place them on Uniwraps brown paper and press well. Add the remaining louki water and lauki koftas to the sabzi and cook them well. Add kasuri methi and grated paneer to the sabzi for garnishing.
