Ingredients

  • Rice – ½ cup & Potato – 2
  • Milk powder – 1 tbsp & Corn flour – 2 tbsp
  • Onion – 1 & Tomato – 2
  • Green chillies – 2 & Ginger – 1 inch
  • Garlic cloves – 3 to 4 & Curd – ½ cup
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp & Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp & Clove – 2
  • Black cardamom – 1 & Cinnamon – 1

Directions

  • Wash the rice and soak it for some time. In a pressure cooker, add soaked rice, tomatoes, potatoes, onion, and green chillies and cook it for 1 whistle. Once the whistle is released, separate the rice and potato from the other ingredients and grind them into a paste.
  • Add corn flour and milk powder to the rice and potato mixture and add water and give them a good mix. Transfer this paste into a cake mould and steam it for 5 to 7 minutes to prepare paneer. Meanwhile, prepare a paste by grinding ginger, garlic, green chillies, tomatoes and onion into a paste.
  • Prepare another paste by mixing coriander powder, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder into curd. Prepare a powder by grinding together cardamom, cinnamon, and clove. In a pan, heat oil and add jeera. Add the prepared tomato onion paste to the oil and sauté well.
  • Add the prepared masala paste and powder and cook well. Once the raw smell goes off, add some water and let it boil. Slice the paneer made from rice and potato into small cubes and add to the pan. Your paneer gravy is ready with paneer made from rice and potato.
