Soft Spongy Teatime Cake

This easy sponge cake is soft, fluffy, and light as air! It’s a simple recipe for basic sponge cake made with ingredients including cake flour, beaten eggs, and sugar for an easy, simple sponge cake that’s moist and soft!

Ingredients

 

  • 1 Cup Fine Flour
  • ½ Milk Powder
  • ⅓ Powdered sugar
  • ⅓ Cup Vanilla Powder
  • 1 TSP Baking Powder
  • ½ Baking Soda
  • ¼ Cup melted Butter
  • 200 gm Condensed milk
  • ¼ Tooti Footi

Directions

 

  • Take one mixing bowl and strain 1 Cup Fine Flour ,½ Cup Milk powder , ⅓ cup powdered sugar , ⅓ cup vanilla powder , 1 TSP Baking Powder , ½ Baking Soda and mix them well.
  • Take one mixing bowl and put ¼ melted butter , 200 gm Condensed milk ,¾ Cup water and mix them well and this mixture in the mixing bowl and make batter.
  • Take ¼ tooti Footi and add 1 TSP Maida , add this mixture in batter.
  • Heat wok for 10 mins. And put a 7 inch tin in it, as shown in the video , and bake for 40 mins., and garnish with almonds , tooti footi , raisins.
  • To make Cake fresh wrap cake in Oddy uniwrap as shown in video.
  • Place the dhokla batter tray on the water. Cover it and let it steam for 10-15 minutes. After 12 minutes, check with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes clean, then dholkla is ready to be served.
