Steamed Potato and Beetroot Balls

Make these healthy and steamed beetroot and potato balls. These balls can be made with less oil and will serve as a good breakfast or snack option. People of all ages will love this recipe. Ecobake helps in steaming the beetroot balls without greasing and no need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • Beetroot - 1 grated & Potato(grated) - 1
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 & Green chilli - 2
  • Green coriander & Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Ajwain, Salt & black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Semolina - 1 & Water as needed
  • Onion - 1, Capsicum - 1, Green chilli - 1 & Tomato - 1
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp & Red chilli - 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp & Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp & Cumin - 1 tsp

Directions

 

  • Mix grated potato and beetroot in a mixing bowl. Add onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, and give them a mix. Add curd, ajwain, salt, pepper and rava to form the dough. Add some water to adjust the consistency. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
  • Once the veggies are softened, start making balls using small portions of dough. Take a steaming plate, line it with Ecobake cooking paper. Place the balls in the plate and steam them for 15 minutes on medium to low flame.
  • Once the veggies are perfectly cooked in the beetroot balls, switch off the stove and transfer them to a bowl Make a paste by mixing turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, tomato ketchup and water as needed. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it.
  • Add onion, tomato, capsicum, and green chilli to the same pan and cook them on a high flame. Add the prepared paste and cook until there is no raw smell. Add the steamed beetroot balls to the mixture and mix well. Transfer the steamed balls to a plate and garnish with coriander leaves.
