About the Recipe

Make this crispy puri with semolina. Easy to make and crunchy in taste. Oddy Uniwraps help in eliminating excess oil after frying and keeps the puris fresh for longer hours.

Ingredients

 

  • 2 cups semolina powdered
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • Ghee for deep frying
  • Water as required

Directions

 

  • In a bowl mix together semolina powder, salt, ghee and water to form a very soft dough. The dough should be light and soft.
  • Keep it for rest for 10-15 mins. This will help the semolina to swell since we have made the dough with water. Now again after 10-15 mins of resting, knead the dough to form a nice soft texture. Make it into small ball shapes and roll it into the shapes of puris. Make sure the puris are not too thin.
  • Add ghee in a kadai for frying. Add the puris and fry on both sides. Make sure the ghee is not very hot or else it will burn our puris. Remove the puris in Oddy Uniwraps wrapping papers, this will remove the excess ghee from the puris and also can be easily packed and kept for further use.
  • Oddy Uniwraps serves as a multipurpose wrapping paper since we can store, refrigerate and microwave with it.
