Ingredients
- 1.5 cup maida and salt as required
- 1/2 cabbage (finely chopped and water squeezed out),
- 1 medium sized onion finely chopped,
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder, and salt as required
- 1/2 tsp butter, Oddy Ecobake Non-Stick Liners, oil
Directions
- Knead dough of maida and salt as required. Cover it and let it rest for 10-20 mins.
- In a khadai, take half a cabbage (finely chopped and water squeezed out), one medium sized onion finely chopped, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, and salt as required.
- Cook it without oil and let the moisture get evaporated from the cabbage and onions. Once it is slightly dry and there is no water, add 1/2 tsp butter and saute for a few minutes.
- Once done, remove from flame and let it cool. Check the dough and if it is sticky, add dust a little dry flour and knead again. Now make small balls as shown and roll out chapati.
- Place the cooled down cabbage mixture in centre and make a fold of half circle and pack the ends. Now place a deep bottomed vessel with water, add a plate with holes or use a steamer.
- Place Oddy Ecobake Non-Stick Liners. Put the momos on it and steam for 5-7 mins. (3 mins on high flame and remaining time with gas off).
- Let the steamed momos get cooled completely. Next place khadai with oil and fry the steamed momos on medium flame till golden brown.
- If required, you can directly fry the momos without steaming or just eat directly after steaming.
