Momos are a popular street food in India. Momos are basically dumplings made from flour with different kinds of stuffing. In this recipe, you will learn how to make these veg momos from scratch.

Ingredients
- All Purpose Flour : 200 gm (2 Cup)
- Salt: 1 tsp
- Ice Cold Water : 1/2 cup or Required
- For Stuffing: Cabbage : 1 cup, Carrot : 1 cup, capsicum : 1/2 cup, Onion: 2, Ginger : 1 inch, Green Chilli: 2, Garlic: 5 to 6 clove, salt to taste, Sugar: 1 tsp, Butter: 1 tbsp and Black pepper powder: 1 tsp
- For Special Momos Chutney- Tomato: 2 medium, Soaked Dry Red Chilli: 5 to 6, Garlic: 5 to 6, salt to taste, Lemon juice: 1/2 tbsp and Sugar: 1 tsp
Directions
- For preparing dough for momos, take all Purpose Flour, Salt and Ice Cold Water in one bowl. Don't add all the water at once. Mix them well and make a smooth batter.
- For stuffing, we will take all veggies and spices other than black pepper powder and butter (as given in the ingredients). After mixing them well, we will keep them aside.
- Now for special chutney, we will roast 2 medium-sized tomatoes on flame and remove outer skin once it turns black and is soft.
- For chutney, transfer tomato to a grinder and add remaining ingredients like soaked Dry Red Chilli, garlic, salt, sugar and lemon juice. Now grind it to make chutney.
- Strain the veggies with the help of a muslin cloth so that there is no extra water. Transfer the stuff mixture to another bowl and add butter and black pepper powder.
- Roll out small circular sheets of dough to make momos and then stuff it with veggies.
- For steaming momos, we will use Oddy non-stick liners as it helps to speed up the steam circulation in air fryers or steamers. It also saves your cooking time.
- Cook or steam momos for 10 minutes in the beginning and then see if it is done or not. Else do it for longer as required. Your delicious veg momos are ready to serve.
