Chocolate Cake Decorated With Hot Chocolate Ganache

A hot chocolate cake is a rich chocolate-flavored cake where the cake sponge is prepared with melted hot chocolate. Hence, the texture of this cake is dense and the flavour is richer than normal chocolate cake. Ecobake helps in getting the perfect shape for your cake with no need for cleaning afterwards.

Ingredients

 

  • Cake premix
  • Chopped dark chocolate – ¾ cup
  • Whipping cream – ¾ cup
  • Chopped White chocolate – ¼ cup
  • Hot milk – 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Pink & green food gel

Directions

 

  • Bake your hot chocolate cake in a 6- to 7-inch cake tin lined with Ecobake cooking paper. Further divide the cake into 3 portions & do the frosting with whipping cream. Smoothen the frosting with a spatula and cake scrapper and keep the cake in the fridge.
  • In a pan, take 3/4 cup chopped dark chocolate compound and add 3/4 cup whipping cream and melt them together to prepare a smooth ganache. Strain this ganache to avoid any chocolate chunks and to obtain a smoother texture, and let it cool down a bit until it's Luke warm.
  • Take out the cake from the fridge, take a scrapper and make a cemented pattern on the cake sides with the help of this scrapper as shown. Place the cake on a wire rack with a plate on the bottom and pour the ganache on top. First pour the ganache in the center and then on the sides.
  • After pouring all of the ganache over the cake, leave it alone for 5 minutes. In the meantime, ganache will cover the cake sides. Apply ganache on the leftover cake sides with the help of a spatula. The cake is all covered with chocolate ganache.
  • To make white chocolate ganache, melt 1/4 cup chopped white chocolate in 2-3 tablespoons hot milk. Transfer it to a piping bag and start making the designer drips on the cake as shown in the video.
  • Take some pink whipped cream in a 126 No. Nozzle cone and start making swirl roses with it. Place this rose on a plate with the help of a scissor and knife/fork. Make four roses similarly. Take some green cream in a piping bag with leaf nozzle make leaves around the roses and the cake decoration is complete.
