Instant Dhokla Recipe

Gujarat is the place where the iconic and traditional Indian dish dhokla was first prepared. Dhokla sticking to the pan is one of the main problems people have when steaming it. The shape is damaged when we remove it. Oddy Ecobake assists in obtaining the ideal dhokla shape without the need for greasiness or cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • Besan - 1 cup & Sooji - 1/2 cup
  • Water & Salt as needed
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp & Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Oil & Mustard seeds, Sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp green chilli paste & 1/4 tsp eno
  • Curry leaves & Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Prepare the batter by mixing all the ingredients. Divide the batter into two halves, add the eno to one portion of the batter, and mix well.
  • Line a plate with Oddy Ecobake and pour in the batter. Cook the dhokla batter in an idli cooker or kadai for 15 to 17 minutes. Your dhoklas will be ready.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, curry leaves, hinge, and turmeric powder. Cut the bdhoklas into small squares and enjoy!
