Iyengar Bakery Style Chocolate Rava Cake

Yummy and delicious Iyenger Bakery style Chocolate Rava cake is a vegetarian cake. It is easy and quick to bake.  Line cake baking tin with Oddy Ecobake. It is used for baking cakes, buns, and other cooking. It is healthy, eco-friendly, and reusable.

Ingredients

 

  • 90 gm Buttermilk , 135 gm Rava (Semolina)
  • 50 gm + 50 gm hot water
  • 55 gm thick curd, 210 gram powdered sugar
  • 90 gm oil, 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 100 gm maida, 3 tbsp cocoa powder,
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder
  • a pinch of salt, Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Line cake tin with Oddy Ecobake and keep aside. In a bowl, mix buttermilk and rava together.
  • Mix it and let the buttermilk soak the rava well. Add hot water and mix again. Let it rest.
  • In another bowl, take thick curd, powdered sugar, oil and vanilla essence. Mix it well. In the same bowl, sieve maida, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and pinch of salt.
  • Mix well to form batter. Now add the rava portion. Mix well again to form batter. Add water to get smooth consistency.
  • Pour the batter in cake tin and bake it for 20-30 mins at 180 degree temperature. Once done, allow to cool. Demould and its ready to be served.
