About the Recipe

Easy to prepare Mooli Aloo Paratha, is crispy outside and soft inside. A very healthy breakfast option for kids and family members. While rolling out the paratha, roll it on Oddy Ecobake for nonsticky, and smooth round parathas. It helps in getting perfect paratha without greasing or use of dry flour.

Ingredients

 

  • Radish- 3 medium & Potato- 1 medium
  • Wheat flour-1.5 cup & Coriander seeds- 1/2 tbsp
  • Cumin-1 tsp, ajwain-1 tsp & Salt - to taste
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp, Red chilly powder-1 tsp & Onion-1 medium
  • Green coriander -a handful & Ghee-1 tbsp & as according to shallow frying
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Take the radish, cut of the ends and grate it on the medium sized grater. Next in the same bowl, grate the potato. Mix it roughly with a spoon, sprinkle little salt.
  • Cover and let it rest for 5-6 mins. Squeeze the excess water from the grated mix.
  • In a flat base plate, take wheat flour and add the grated mixture. Add chopped onion, fresh coriander leaves, chopped green chilies, whole coriander (roasted), carrom seeds (ajwain), jeera, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and ghee.
  • Mix well with finger tips. Sprinkle water gradually all over the mixture and knead a medium soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 10-15 mins. After resting, knead it again with a little oil.
  • Now take a Oddy Ecobake and cut out as required. Pour a drop of oil on Oddy Ecobake and press the ball of dough on it. Press in with gentle pressure and roll out a chapati.
  • Another way is to wrap it in Oddy Ecobake and with a rolling pin, roll out a chapati. Place the chapati along with the Oddy Ecobake and remove it.
  • Fry the paratha on medium high flame. Cook on one side, flip on second side. Apply ghee on low flame and fry till well cooked and cripsy on outside. olkla is ready to be served.
