Red Velvet Ice Cream

About the Recipe

A combination of chocolate, vanilla and cream cheese, this red velvet ice cream is a melt in the mouth. Try the red velvet ice cream for a change from the regular red velvet cake. Use Oddy uniwraps to cover the lid of your container while making the ice cream to prevent the formation of ice crystals.

Ingredients

 

  • ½ liter milk
  • 2 ½ tsp gsm powder
  • 2 ½ tsp corn flour
  • 1/4th tsp cmc powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1/4th cup whipped cream
  • Red gel color 2-3 drops
  • Cream cheese essence 1/4th tsp
  • Cocoa powder 1 tsp
  • Vanilla essence 4-5 drops
  • Cream cheese 200 gms

Directions

 

  • In a bowl add 3/4th of the milk and sugar mix well. In another small bowl add the remaining milk, gsm powder, corn flour, cmc powder, stir without any lumps and add to the bowl with milk and sugar.
  • Now place the vessel in gas stove and keep on stirring to avoid any lumps. Cook the mixture till it thickens a little and remove from heat and let the mixture cool down on room temperature. Transfer the mixture into a container and wrap it with Oddy uniwraps cooking paper. Now close the lid, covering the lid with oddy uniwraps prevents it from forming ice crystals in your ice cream.
  • Keep it in freezer for 8 hours. Remove after 8 hours and smash the ice cream mixture with a spoon. Then use a beater to beat the ice cream. Beat the mixture until fluffy to form a nice consistency.
  • In a separate bowl take 3/4th cup cold whipped cream and beat nicely. Consistency of the whipped cream should be slightly thin. Now add the whipped cream in our ice cream mixture and mix it well with a spatula and again beat the mixture with beater. Keep it in refrigerator. Our base ice cream is ready.
  • Take the ice cream base and add cocoa powder, cream cheese essence and red color and mix well with a spatula. Take cream cheese in a bowl, add vanilla essence and smoothen the mixture.
  • In a container add our ice cream and add cream cheese batter and blend a little. Keep on repeating the layers and at the top add cream cheese and spread a little with a toothpick.
  • Wrap it with Oddy uniwraps cooking paper. Now close the lid, oddy uniwraps prevents it from forming ice crystals in your ice cream.
