Healthy and nutritious rotis prepared using  assorted leafy vegetables. Ragi Rotti is a healthy breakfast dish which is prepared by seasoning cumin seeds, chopped onions, chilies, and any kind of leaves which makes a flavourful and healthy breakfast dish to start your day. Ingredients

 

  • Green Leaves(Palak, Dill, Methi, Curry Leaves, Coriander Leaves, finely chopped) - 2 Cups
  • Onion - 1
  • Salt to Taste
  • Green Chillies - 1
  • Jeera - 1 Spoon
  • Ragi Flour - 1 Cup
  • Oil - 1/2 Tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 spoon

Directions

 

  • Take any type of green leaves which are finely chopped - 2 cups. You can take palak, methi, dill leaves, curry leaves and coriander. Add these finely chopped green leaves to a bowl.
  • Then add finely chopped onion, fine chopped green chillies and 1 spoon of jeera. Add little bit of salt and squeeze it nicely so that it oozes out water.
  • Now add 1 cup of ragi flour to it and mix it without adding extra water. make use of water oozed out from green leaves and onion
  • In a pan, add 1/2 tbsp of oil, when it is hot then add 1 tbsp of mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add this seasoning to ragi flour mixture. Mix it well without adding water.
  • Now you can see ragi flour is wet. Add little boiling water and make it into soft dough. Take Oddy Ecobake and smear 1-2 drops of oil to it.
  • Take orange size ragi rotti dough and flatten it round and thin. On a hot tawa, place the Oddy ecobake sheet and after few seconds, remove it. Cover and cook the raagi rotti on medium flame.
  • Cook both sides till color is slightly changed. If you wish you can smear little oil or ghee while cooking rotti. Tasty & healthy raagi rotti is ready to eat.
