Ingredients

  • Chiroti rava – 1.5 cups
  • Water – ½ cup + 2 tbsp
  • Milk powder – 2 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar – 4 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Instant dry yeast – ¾ tsp
  • Melted butter – 2 tbsp

Directions

  • Prepare the dough by mixing the rava and water and letting it rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Add milk powder, sugar, cardamom powder, yeast and melted butter to the dough and mix well.
  • Stretch and knead the dough for 5 minutes. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 1 hour. Once the dough has proofed, knead it again and divide the dough into 2 equal portions.
  • Flatten one portion of the dough and roll it again. Take two cake moulds lined with brown Ecobake cooking paper and place the dough in them and rest it for half an hour.
  • Bake the dough in an oven or on the stove top for 35 minutes. Once the bread is baked and cooled, cut it into slices. Toast them by placing them in a pan lined with Ecobake cooking paper trays until the rusk becomes golden brown in colour.
