This Mawa chikki is a popular winter sweet snack in India. It is easy to make, and you only need a few key ingredients to make this chikki. Oddy Ecobake helps you spread and set the chikki without greasing the mold. Hence, there is no need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup milk powder & 1/2 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder & pinch of saffron
  • Peanuts - 1.5 cups & 1.5 cups Jaggery
  • Chopped pistachios & Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Heat milk in a pan and add milk powder, cardamom powder, and saffron to it; mix well to prepare mawa.
  • Once the mawa starts leaving the pan, switch off the stove. Roast the peanuts and peel their skin.
  • Grind the peanuts to a coarse powder in a mixer jar. Mix the roasted and crushed peanuts with mawa.
  • Melt jaggery in a pan. Switch off the stove once the jaggery syrup starts boiling.
  • Transfer the crushed peanuts and mawa mixture to the pan and mix well with the jaggery syrup.
  • Transfer the mixture to a tray lined with Oddy Ecobake. Garnish it with chopped pistachios.
  • Set them aside for a while. Cut the bar into small pieces. Your mawa chikkis are ready now!
