Bajra Churma Sukhdi Recipe

About the Recipe

The recipe of Bajra Churma Sukhdi can be made during the winter season. Bajra (Pearl Millet) & Jaggery (Gud) is very beneficial for health. So we can make this Sukhdi using the leftover bajra roti and consume it in the breakfast. So must try this recipe and store it for longer using Oddy Uniwraps.

Ingredients

 

  • 2 Bajri Na Rotla/Left Over Bajra Roti
  • 1/4 Cup Almonds
  • 1/4 Cup Cashew Nuts
  • 1 tsp Ganthoda Powder
  • 2 tsp Dry Ginger Powder/Sonth Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 2 tsp Dessicated Coconut & 1/2 Cup Ghee
  • 250 grams Chopped Jaggery
  • 2 tsp Chironji/Charoli (For Garnishing)
  • Oddy Uniwraps

Directions

 

  • Coarsely grind 2 leftover bajra rotis into a mixture. Transfer this churma into another vessel. 
  • Grind some almonds and cashew nuts and add this to the bajra mixture.
  • Now add some cardamom powder, ganthoda powder and dry ginger powder as well. Then put in some desiccated coconut and mix all of this well.
  • In a pan, heat up some ghee and add chopped jaggery. Cook until it starts melting.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes like this. Now turn off the flame and add the prepared mixture to bajra churma.
  • Mix all of this properly. Keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  • Line a tray with Oddy Uniwraps to set the barfi. Transfer the lukewarm mixture on this tray and even it out with the help of a spatula or spoon.
  • Garnish it with chironji and set it at room temperature. After 2-3 hours, cut it into smaller pieces.
