Twin roti/ 2-in-1 roti

About the Recipe

This is a very delicious and healthy recipe which combines the goodness of ragi and rice in one recipe. Surprised? Well, you can make a twin or 2-in-1 roti like this. Use Oddy Ecobake so that dough doesn’t stick and rotis come out nicely and soft every time you make them.

Ingredients

 

  • Onion- 1 & Carrot- 1
  • Coriander Leaves- Few
  • Green Chillies- 2 no.
  • Red Chillies- 2 & Curry Leaves- Few
  • Jeera- 1 tsp & Coconut Gratings- 3 Tbsp
  • Fried Gram Powder- 5 Tbsp(coarsely powder)
  • Salt as per taste
  • Rice Flour-1 Cup & Ragi Flour- 1 Cup
  • Oil- 4 Tbsp
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • In a bowl - take finely chopped onion, grated carrot, finely chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves, crushed green chillies, red chillies, jeera, coconut gratings and fried gram powder.
  • Then add salt to taste. Now squeeze and mix so that onion leaves moisture.
  • Divide the mixture into two equal parts.
  • For Rice roti: In part of the above mixture add 1 glass of rice flour. Now add required amount of hot water to make soft dough.
  • For Ragi roti: In part of the above mixture add 1 glass of ragi flour. Add required amount of hot water to make soft dough.
  • Take Oddy ecobake and apply 2 drops of oil on it. Take small roundels of rice roti dough and flatten in half circle.
  • Take small roundels of ragi rotti dough and flatten as another half circle to make it complete circle.
  • Press the center edges to seal raagi roti and rice roti half circles.
  • On a hot tawa, turn over Oddy Ecobake and then cook 2-in-1 roti from both sides after applying oil/ghee/butter.
  • Tasty and healthy 2-in-1 Roti/Twin Roti is ready.
