Black Paneer Bhaji

Ever heard of black paneer? No? Well, it’s not that difficult. Let’s make black paneer bhaji which is different and delicious at the same time. Make it using Oddy Ecobake Non Stick Liners as you can make it without any greasing and there is no need for cleaning afterward.

Ingredients

 

  • Chickpea- 1 cup & Green chilli- 3
  • Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp & 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic coriander paste- 2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste & Water as required
  • Oddy Ecobake Non Stick Liners
  • Oil- 3 tbsp & Bay leaf- 2
  • Star Anise- 1 & brown cardamom- 1
  • Clove & Black Pepper- 4-5
  • 2 onions & 1 tomato paste
  • Turmeric- 1/4 tsp & Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1 tsp & Goda masala- 1/2 tsp
  • Kala masala- 1 tsp & Mutton masala- 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste & Kasuri Methi

Directions

 

  • Transfer the washed chickpea to a grinder. Then add in green chillies, cumin seeds, ginger garlic coriander paste and salt.
  • Also add some water as required to make a smooth paste. Grind all the ingredients now.
  • Take a steaming plate lined with Oddy Ecobake Non Stick Liner. Pour the grinded paste on the plate. Leave 2-3 tbsp of paste in the grinder only.
  • Spread the batter on the plate using a spoon. Now put this steaming plate in a kadhai for steaming at high flame.
  • After 7 minutes, check the batter, either using a knife or toothpick. In a kadhai, add some oil and heat it up.
  • Then add in cumin seeds, bay leaf, star anise, brown cardamom along with some cloves and black pepper. Keep the gas at low flame.
  • Then put in 1 sliced green chilli and onion-tomato paste. Now cook this until oil starts separating out.
  • Then put in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, goda masala, kala masala, mutton masala and ginger garlic coriander paste.
  • Mix everything well. Now add the earlier grinded paste which we had kept aside. Mix it well for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add water as required and salt as per taste. Mix all of this well.
  • Cut black paneer cubes as shown in the video. Put these cubes in the gravy we just prepared. Garnish it with Kasuri Methi.
