About the Recipe

This is a unique and attractive way of preparing the traditional aloo samosa recipe. This can be served as starters or just as evening light snacks as well. Here, we will use Oddy Non-Stick Liners as we will make it in an airfryer so it is healthy and delicious at the same time.

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour- 1 cup & Semolina- 2-3 tsp
  • Salt- 1/2 tsp & crushed Carom seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee- 3 tbsp & Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Water as required & Grated potato- 3 big
  • Fresh coriander leaves & Green chilli
  • Grated ginger & Salt for taste
  • Turmeric powder & Red chilli powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala- 1/2 tsp & Aamchur powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Oddy Non Stick Liners

Directions

  • To prepare dough, we will take all purpose flour, semolina, salt for taste and crushed carom seeds.
  • Now add in ghee so that the samosas turn out crispy followed by baking powder. Mix everything well.
  • Keep adding water as per requirement and knead the dough. Cover it with a cotton cloth so that the dough doesn't harden. Keep it aside.
  • For the filling, take grated potato, fresh coriander leaves, green chillies, grated ginger followed by all the spices like salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and aamchur masala.
  • Now mix everything together. The filling is ready now. Pinch out balls of dough and flatten it out with the help of a rolling pin like shown in the video.
  • Stuff it with filling and spread it evenly and apply water on the sides to seal it properly. Roll it tightly as shown.
  • Cut it into parts and then press each piece with your hands. We will cook these pinwheel samosas in the airfryer.
  • Line the wire rack with Oddy Ecobake Non Stick Liners and keep the pinwheel samosas on it. Brush it with some ghee or oil from both sides.
  • Preheat the airfryer for 180 Degrees for about 5 minutes. Then cook it further for 15 minutes at the same setting.
  • Since the colour of the samosas was quite light, you can cook it again for 5-10 minutes. Once done, serve them hot with imli chutney or any other dip.
