Boondi Mixture

About the Recipe

Boondi mixture is a popular Indian snack. This is done primarily on the occasion of Deepavali. This mixture is a completely vegan and crunchy snack. Oddy Uniwraps help to maintain their texture for longer and makes the recipe healthier by preventing oil absorption. And it’s reusable and biodegradable.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Besan / Chickpea Flour
  • 2 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Red Chilly
  • 0.25 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 pinches Hing
  • 3 tbsp Ground Nut
  • 250 ml Oil (For Frying)

Directions

  • Add besan, rice flour, turmeric, red chili, hing, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Mix all the dry ingredients.
  • Add water gradually and combine well. The consistency of the batter should be dosa batter
  • Keep oil for heat and check enough heat of oil for frying.
  • Take a slotted spatula and pour the batter and spread gently.
  • Stir well and Fry until it turns to golden colour.
  • Also add ground nuts and curry leaves to oil and fry for a minute.
  • Mix everything and serve the boondi mixture with the help of Oddy Uniwraps which absorb excessive oil and make the recipe healthier. Once it is completely cooled, store it in an airtight container.
