Chocolate Ganache Cake with a Simple Decoration

Ingredients

 

  • Chocolate cake premix - 3 cups & Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Dark chocolate compound - 200 gm & Whipping cream - 1/2 cup
  • Oil - 1/2 tbsp & Whipping cream - 500 ml
  • Mixed fruit crush syrup & Ready to use glaze
  • Dark chocolate - 30gm & White chocolate - 80 gm
  • Oddy Ecobake, Red color cream & Golden sprinkles

Directions

 

  • Prepare the cake batter by mixing the chocolate cake premix with oil and water. Transfer the cake batter into a cake mould lined with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Bake the cake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C. Once the cake is baked and cooled, trim the top of the cake. Then divide the cake into three equal parts.
  • Beat the whipping cream in a bowl until stiff peaks are formed. Prepare the chocolate ganache by melting dark chocolate with whipped cream. Add oil to the ganache to make it more shiny.
  • Place the first cake layer on the cake board, soak it with mixed fruit crush syrup, and apply whipped cream on it. Now repeat the same process for the second and third layers of the cake.
  • Frost the cake completely with the cream and level it using a card and spatula. Prepare chocolate frosting by mixing chocolate ganache with whipped cream.
  • Apply dollops of chocolate frosting on the cake and spread it evenly. Pour the remaining ganache over the cake and spread it uniformly with a spatula.
  • Make chocolate wafers by drying patterns of dark and white chocolate ganache on a sheet as shown. Cut it into the desired shape and use it to decorate the cake.
  • Mix water with the ready-to-use vanilla glaze and transfer it to a piping bag. Make a zig-zag pattern on the cake with vanilla glaze and a toothpick, as described.
  • Place the Happy Birthday tag on the cake and sprinkle a few golden sprinkles near the tag. Make a shell design with red coloured cream at the bottom of the cake. Your chocolate ganache cake is ready!
