Chocolate Pastry Cake with Wheat Flour

This chocolate pastry cake is so fluffy and perfectly sweet. You need very basic ingredients to make the cake sponge, such as all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, curd, and sugar. We are going to make the frosting here using biscuits and milk powder. With Ecobake, you get the perfect shape for your cake with no need for additional clean-up.

Ingredients

 

  • Sugar – 1/3rd cup & Curd – 1/3rd cup
  • Oil – 2 tbsp & Vanilla essence – ½ tsp
  • Wheat flour – ¾ cup & Milk powder – 2 tbsp
  • Cocoa powder – 1.5 tbsp & Baking powder – ½ tsp
  • Baking soda – ¼ tsp & Milk – ½ cup
  • Left over biscuits – 10 to 15, Sugar powder – 2 tbsp & Milk – 1 cup

Directions

 

  • Mix the wet ingredients in a bowl. Sieve the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and combine them to form the cake batter.
  • Transfer the cake batter into a cake mould lined with Ecobake cooking paper. Bake the cake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees C in the oven.
  • Meanwhile, grind the biscuits in a mixer jar and make a powder. In a pan, add the biscuit powder, sugar, and milk to it and mix well until the mixture turns thick and thus cream is formed.
  • Once the cake is baked and cooled, trim the upper part, and soak it with sugar syrup. Apply the cream on the top of the cake with a spatula.
  • Cut the cake into smaller pieces and decorate them with the remaining cream using a piping bag. Garnish the pastries with sprinkles and enjoy.
