Healthy Moong Dal Breakfast Recipe

Ingredients

 

  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour
  • ½ cup Chickpea Flour
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • Dry Curry Leaves
  • ½ Cup Green gram
  • Green Coriander
  • Green chili, Ginger and garlic.
  • Carrot
  • Onion
  • Roasted Cumin powder
  • Hing
  • Aloo Bhujia

Directions

 

  • To make dough, take a mixing bowl and add 1 cup of wheat flour, ½ cup of chickpea flour, turmeric powder, salt and 1 tsp of carom seeds, crush and sprinkle a few dry curry leaves.
  • Using your hand mix them well while adding water alongside, to make soft batter. Keep it aside for a few mins.
  • Meanwhile, let's prepare for the rest of the recipe, take ½ cup of green gram which was soaked overnight, grind it to make paste. Make paste of green coriander, and ginger, garlic and chili also separately.
  • Mix both the pastes to make a mixture, add finely chopped carrots and onion to the paste, add salt as per your taste and ½ tsp of roaster cumin powder along with ½ tsp of hing.
  • Now add our special ingredient, Aloo Bhujia, to enhance the flavor of spices and add its own unique flavor. Mix all the ingredients well to make a paste.
  • Divide the dough, that we kept aside, into two parts. Using a rolling pin, roll them and cut out the small circles as shown in the video.
  • Apply the paste on the circles we cut out. Deep fry them, and your healthy Moong Dal breakfast is ready to serve.
