Healthy Nutritious Jowari Flour Noodles

Jowari is a very healthy pulse. Now kids and family members can relish healthy noodles made from Jowari. It is very simple and easy to prepare. No more maida noodles, only healthy jowari noodles.   • 2 cups of Jowari flour, Salt as required
  • Lukewarm water as required, 1-1.5 tbsp oil,
  • 7-8 chopped garlic pods, 1-inch ginger finely chopped
  • 2 chopped green chilies, 1 medium-sized onion finely sliced,
  • 1 capsicum sliced lengthwise, 1 tsp dark soya sauce,
  • 1 tsp green chili sauce, 1 tsp red chili sauce,
  • 2 tsp tomato sauce, corn flour slurry (½ cup water and ½ tsp corn flour)

  • Knead a soft dough with the required lukewarm water. Divide the dough into two parts. Take a chakli maker and coat the inner sides with little oil. Put the dough into the chakli maker.
  • Use the medium size shape for noodles. Cover the other side as well. Now take a flat steam plate and place Oddy Ecobake into it. Now gently press the dough to make the noodles.
  • On the gas, place a kadhai and boil water. Now place the plate to let the noodles steam for about 3-5 mins. Remove from flame once done.
  • In a kadhai, pour oil, add chopped garlic pods, and ginger. Saute for till it turns light golden. Add chopped green chilies, onion finely sliced, and capsicum sliced length-wise.
  • Saute till slightly crunchy. Add dark soya sauce, green chili sauce, red chili sauce, tomato sauce. Mix everything well. Add corn flour slurry and very little salt as sauces contain salt too.
  • Now add the steamed jowari noodles to the mixture. Separate the noodles by hand and add them to the kadhai. Mix well till noodles are well coated with sauce and vegetables. Once done, serve hot.
