Healthy steamed veggie rolls

A steamed veggie roll mixed with mayo and full of nutrients. Easy to make and will be loved by friends and family. Has nutritional benefits as it contains lots of veggies. You can customize the veggies according to your preferences. Using Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles to line the steamer makes our cooking process hassle-free.

Ingredients

 

  • For stuffing: 1 carrot grated
  • ½ cup capsicum diced
  • ½ cup spring onion chopped
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • ½ tomato chopped
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Salt as required
  • ½ tsp peri peri masala
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes and oregano
  • For dough: 1 ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles

Directions

 

  • In a bowl mix all the ingredients for stuffing and check for salt. If you feel the mixture is thick add some more mayonnaise.
  • In another bowl mix all the ingredients for dough and mix well. Let the dough rest for 2 mins. Make small balls from the dough. Roll the dough into small chapati shape with a rolling pin. Add the stuffing and fold the dough as shown in video.
  • Use Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles to line the steaming plate. By using Oddy Ecobake our veggie rolls with not stick to the vessel. Also, Oddy Ecobake is non-sticky and hence no need to grease the steamer.
  • Steam the veggie rolls for 10-15 mins. The rolls swell up after steaming and gets double the size.
  • In a tawa add some oil and gently fry the rolls till golden brown on both sides for 1-2 mins. Since the rolls are already cooked, it will take less time for it fry. Remove from tawa, cut and serve hot with sauce and chutney.
