How to make puffed bature

More often than not, we always end up wondering why homemade batures/pooris are not as puffy as the ones made in restaurants. With this recipe, you will understand how to make puffed batures at home with minimal ingredients and an easy process! Ingredients

 

  • 2 pieces of bread (White or brown)
  • 2 spoons of thick curd
  • 2 big spoons of wheat flour and small 2 spoons of vegetable oil proportionately.
  • Salt as required
  • 1/4 cup Curd (plain yogurt)

Directions

 

  • Separate the edges of the bread and cut it into small slices, and make it into crumbs.
  • Add the curd with bread crumbs and mix it nicely. Leave it to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Mix the wheat four with oil, the bread crumb mixture and lukewarm water and make it into a soft dough.
  • Let the dough rest in Oddy Uniwrap paper for a while.
  • Make the dough into small balls and roll it very thin.
  • Fry the thin sheets in oil, and bature is ready!
