Lauki sweet without condensed milk

About the Recipe

Try this unique lauki sweet without any mawa, condensed milk, or milk. You need only a handful of ingredients to make this sweet, and it can be done quickly. Ecobake helps in getting the perfect shape for your sweet without greasing the mould, and there is no need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • Lauki - 2 & Ghee - 1 cup
  • Fresh cream & Nuts - 1/4 cup
  • Coconut powder - 1/2 cup & Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp & Food colour - 1/2 tsp
  • Milk powder - 1 cup & Ghee - 1 tbsp

Directions

 

  • Saute chopped lauki in ghee in a pressure cooker for 2 to 3 minutes. Add fresh cream to the cooker, close the lid and cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
  • Then switch off the stove and let the pressure come down. Now add dry fruit powder, coconut powder, sugar, cardamom powder and food colouring to the boiled and mashed lauki and combine everything together.  
  • Once the mixture starts boiling, add milk powder to thicken it. Add ghee when the mixture thickens, give them a mix and switch off the stove. Transfer the mixture to a mould lined with Ecobake cooking paper and spread well.
  • Let the lauki sweet set well, apply silver wark and then cut it into smaller square pieces. Garnish the sweets with cherries and enjoy them.
