  • Oil – 2 tbsp & Vanilla essence – ½ tsp
  • Wheat flour – ¾ cup & Cocoa powder – 1.5 tbso
  • Milk powder – 1 tbsp & Baking soda – ¼ tsp
  • Baking powder – ½ tsp & Milk – ½ cup
  • Dark chocolate – 100 gm & Milk
  • Whip cream – ¾ cup & Sugar – ¼ cup
  • Butter – 2 tbsp, Whip cream – 1 tbsp & Colourful sprinkles

Directions

  • Prepare the cake batter by mixing the wet ingredients and sieving through the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Add milk to adjust the consistency of the batter.
  • Transfer the cake batter into a mould lined with Ecobake cooking paper. Close the mould with aluminium foil and steam the cake as shown for 35 minutes in a kadai with water at the bottom.
  • Prepare chocolate ganache by melting chopped dark chocolate and milk using the double boiler method. Once the cake is baked and cooled, trim the upper layer of the cake and cut it into 3 layers.
  • Prepare chocolate frosting by beating whipped cream in a mixing bowl and adding some chocolate ganache to it. Place the first layer of the cake on top, soaking it with sugar syrup.
  • Apply chocolate frosting on the cake and place the second layer of the cake. Apply chocolate frosting on the ends of the second layer and fill it with sugar caramel in the centre as shown.
  • Add the remaining chocolate ganache to the chocolate frosting. Place the third layer of the cake on it. Apply the prepared chocolate frosting to the third layer and complete the frosting of the entire cake. Garnish the cake with coloured sprinkles.
