Ingredients

 

  • Onion - 5
  • Garlic - 10 Pods
  • Tamarind - 1 Lemon Size
  • Turmeric Powder - 3/4 spoon
  • Byadagi Chilli - 5 Nos.
  • Guntur Chilli - 5 Nos.
  • Salt To Taste
  • Oil - 100 ml
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 Spoon
  • Curry Leaves - Hand full
  • Jaggery - 1 Tbsp
  • Powder of (Methi Seeds- 1 Spoon, Mustard Seeds - 1 spoon, Jeera - 1 spoon)

Directions

 

  • Take 5 sliced onions in a mixer and grind it into a semi-liquid paste. Keep it aside. Now add garlic pods, tamarind, Byadagi Chilli, Guntur Chilli, salt and turmeric to the mixer.
  • Grind it into a smooth red paste.In a pan, add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves and let the seeds splutter. Now add the onion paste to this.
  • Cook it for sometime and add salt. To this, add the red paste and some jaggery. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for sometime.
  • In a kadai, add Methi Seeds- 1 Spoon, Mustard Seeds - 1 spoon and Jeera - 1 spoon. Roast it and then after it cools down, grind it in a mixer to make powder.
  • Add the powder to the mixture prepared earlier. Now spread this paste on one side of the chapati and put another roti on top of it. Then roll it to eat it conveniently.
  • Use Oddy Uniwraps for packing rotis served with onion gujju in tiffin.
