Ingredients

  • Wheat flour
  • Salt as required
  • Water as required
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

  • In a bowl add wheat flour and add salt. Add little water and knead with hands. Add water little by little and knead the dough. Check the texture and add water. Make sure all the wheat flour is combined together. Do not add more water or the dough will become very sticky.
  • Once kneading is done. Add oil and mix well. The consistency of the dough should be perfect. If the dough is too thick, the chapatis will become very hard and if the dough is very thin, it will stick on the pan.
  • Let the dough rest for half an hour. Keep the tava for heating. If the tava is heated well, chapati will be cooked faster.
  • Make small ball from the chapati dough. Use Oddy Ecobake for rolling the chapatis. Using Oddy Ecobake will prevent your dough from sticking on the rolling pan. It is reusable and can be used more than once.
  • Coat the chapati ball with flour and start rolling it with a rolling pin. Once rolled, put the chapati in hot tava, and then flip after a few seconds.
  • Cook well by rotating the chapati to cover all sides. The n flip again to cook well. Use a cloth to press the chapati on sides that are not cooked. Cook well on the other side as well. Add oil on both sides. Remove once cooked on both sides.
