Puttu With Puttu Flour In An Instant Pot

Puttu is a well-liked, tasty, and wholesome breakfast that comes from Kerala in southern India. It is often prepared using different types of flour, grated coconut, and steaming equipment such as a puttu maker. The puttu can be steam-cooked without becoming soggy in a perforated vessel with the use of brown Ecobake cooking paper.

Ingredients

 

  • Puttu Flour
  • Water
  • Grated Coconut
  • Palm Jaggery or Sugar
  • Ghee

Directions

 

  • Put the puttu flour of your choice in a bowl and damp the flour by gradually adding water. Once the puttu flour forms a shape, if you take it and press a small amount of flour into your hands, close the lid.
  • Keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes. Take a perforated vessel and line it with brown Ecobake cooking paper. Fill it alternatively with wet flour and grated coconut.
  • Steam the perforated vessel with puttu by placing it in a deep-bottomed vessel of boiling water. Once the puttu is cooked well, transfer it to a plate.
  • Add ghee to the puttu and mix well. Combine with jaggery, or sugar, or palm jaggery before serving.
