Ingredients

  • Palak Leaves - 25 Nos.
  • Green Chillies - 2 Nos.
  • Ginger - 1/2 Inch
  • Salt To Taste
  • Ghee (Optional)
  • Wheat Flour/Atta - 1 Cup

Directions

  • Add a bunch of fresh palak leaves in boiling water along with 2 green chillies and 1/2 inch of ginger. Let it be like this for 30-40 secs.
  • Drain the water from the leaves and grind the leaves, green chillies and ginger in a mixer without adding water. Make it into a fine paste.
  • To this fine paste, add 1 cup of wheat flour and salt to taste. Now make 10-15 dips in dough and fill those dips with water. Let it rest for 10 minutes so that the dough will soak all the water.
  • After 10 minutes you can see there is no water in the dough and it has become very soft. Knead dough for a few seconds. Now the soft dough is ready. Make equal size roundels in that dough.
  • Flatten the dough to make even and thin chapatis as shown in the video. Heat the tawa, put the flattened chapati on the tawa, keep the flame high.
  • When the small bubbles start appearing on chapati, turn it over. Keeping the flame high only, let the bubbles appear on the other side as well. Now transfer it to the grill and keep on high flame.
  • For lunch box packing, take Oddy Uniwraps paper foil and cover the rolled chapati in it to keep it fresh and healthy for longer intervals.
