Surprise Chocolate Lava Cake Without an Oven

Enjoy this decadent chocolate lava cake that melts in your mouth. This unique cake is heaven for all chocolate lovers and is prepared with very few ingredients in an extremely easy way and in very little time. There is no need to grease your cake mould when you use Oddy Ecobake to get the perfect shape for your cake.

Ingredients

 

  • Milk - 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp & Vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 1/4 cup & Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp & Maida - 1 cup
  • Baking soda - 1 tsp & Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Whipped cream - 1/2 cup, Cherries - 3 & Oddy Ecobake
  • Dark chocolate - 120 gm, Milk - 70 ml & Butter - 1 tbsp

Directions

 

  • Prepare buttermilk by mixing milk and vinegar. Add the wet ingredients to the prepared buttermilk and mix well. Sieve the dry ingredients into the same bowl and mix well to prepare the cake batter. Add 2 tbsp of milk to adjust the consistency of the batter.
  • Transfer the cake batter to a cake mould lined with Oddy Ecobake. Bake the cake for 45 minutes in a preheated kadai. Once the cake is baked and cooled, trim the top of the cake and keep it aside. Prepare the chocolate ganache by melting chopped dark chocolate with milk in a pan.
  • Pour this chocolate ganache by making a cavity in the cake as shown. Seal it with the trimmed upper part of the cake. Freeze the cake for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Once the cake is set, frost it completely with whipped cream.
  • Garnish the sides of the cake with cake crumbles. Make rosettes on the top of the cake and a flower border at the bottom of the cake. Decorate the cake with cherries as shown. Your chocolate lava cake is ready!
