About the Recipe

Today we are going to learn how to make the traditional Maharashtrian recipe for Nagdive. It is healthy and nutritious, as it is made of millet flour, jaggery, rice, and dal. Oddy Ecobake helps you steam nagdive without additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • Jaggery - 2 cups & Water - 1/2 cup
  • Millet flour - 4 cups & Oddy Ecobake
  • Fennel seeds - 1 tbsp & Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Dry ginger powder - 1/2 tsp, Rice & Dal

Directions

 

  • Prepare jaggery water by melting jaggery in water with fennel seeds.
  • Strain the jaggery water and add millets flour, elaichi powder, and dry ginger powder to it and mix well.
  • Take a small portion of the dough and shape it as described.
  • Steam the raw nagdives in a tray lined with Oddy Ecobake, as shown.
  • Once cooked, fill it with cooked rice, dal, and a leafy vegetable of your choice.
