Try This Extra Soft Jam Swirled Cake Recipe

About the Recipe

Sugar, vanilla essence, eggs, and flour are used to make jam cake. The swirled-over jam gives the cake some pattern and adds to its wonderful flavor. Ecobake parchment paper makes it easier to get the cake into the ideal shape without using any grease or doing any additional cleanup.

  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - ¾ cup / 90 grams
  • Baking Powder - ½ tsp, Jam - 4 tbsp & Salt a pinch
  • Eggs - 2 & Unsalted Soft Butter - 100 grams
  • Sugar - ½ cup / 100 grams & Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp



  • Add the sugar and butter to a bowl and mix well. Beat and combine the two eggs in the mixing bowl until the mixture is fluffy.
  • Add vanilla essence to the mixture and combine well. Add flour, baking powder and salt to the bowl and mix using the cut and fold method.
  • Once the batter is ready, transfer it to a square cake mould lined with Ecobake parchment paper. Add 4 tbsp of jam over the batter and make a swirl pattern using a skewer on the cake batter.
  • Bake the cake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 °C. Once the cake is baked and cooled, cut it into pieces and enjoy it immediately or store it for later.
