Directions

  • Cover the base and sides of the baking tin with Oddy Ecobake. This will help to remove the cake smoothly once baked. Apply ghee and dust Ararot powder on the sides of the tin.
  • In a mixer jar, add samo seed flour, water chestnut powder, ararot powder 1 tbsp, cashew powder, cardamom powder, baking powder, baking soda, xanthum gum, sea salt and potassium sorbate (only if you want to store the cake for longer) and blend together.
  • In a bowl add condensed milk, unsalted butter, half of maava and blend well to form a smooth and fluffy batter. Now add remaining maava and mix.
  • Now add the blended dry ingredients and fold the batter. Add milk to make the batter smooth, add mavaa essence and use beater to form a batter. The cake batter should be fluffy.
  • Transfer the cake batter on baking tin and tap to avoid the formation of bubbles. Keep vessel for preheating. Place the cake stand and keep the baking tin inside. Close the lid and cook in low flame for 1 hour. Remove and check whether the cake is completely cooked.
  • For garnishing the cake, by using double boiling method add milk and grated white compound chocolate to form glaze. Decorate the cake with pouring the ganache over it. Add mavaa and nuts, grated nuts for the look and also for adding the crunchiness. Our Maava cake is ready to serve.
