Use rice paper for cake decoration

About the Recipe

In this recipe, we are using rice paper for cake decoration. Sounds different no? Well it is but at the same time, it is very easy too. Use Oddy Ecobake to bake your cakes as it is non-stick, requires no greasing and there is no need for cleaning afterward.

Ingredients

 

  • Oddy Ecobake
  • Rice Paper
  • Liquid pink colour
  • Whipped cream
  • Mashed rice
  • Yellow or orange food colour
  • Golden sprinklers

Directions

 

  • To make Vanilla cake, line cake tin with Oddy Ecobake as it is non-stick and reusable. Pour the batter into tin and bake it at 170 Degrees in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Once the cake cools down, demould it. On the other side, prepare whipped cream as shown in the video.
  • Do normal frosting of cake as shown. In another bowl, take some whipped cream and add some drops of liquid pink colour. Mix it well and then with the help of a piping bag, make the design as shown. Smoothen out the pink cream now.
  • With the help of a spoon, make a swirl design on top of the cake. Keep the cake in the refrigerator.
  • Take 1 sheet of rice paper and break it into smaller pieces. Now make several flower shapes out of this. Then take some mashed rice and mix orange or yellow colour in it.
  • With the help of a spoon, take some rice and put it in the middle of the bigger flower. Then one by one, paste all the flowers on it as shown.
  • Once the cake cools down, demould it. On the other side, prepare whipped cream as shown in the video. Do normal frosting of cake as shown.
  • In another bowl, take some whipped cream and add some drops of liquid pink colour. Mix it well and then with the help of a piping bag, make the design as shown. Smoothen out the pink cream now.
  • Then take some mashed rice and mix orange or yellow colour in it. With the help of a spoon, take some rice and put it in the middle of the bigger flower.
  • Then one by one, paste all the flowers on it as shown. Fry all of these one by one.
  • Put some cream first and then one flower on top of it. You can use some golden sprinklers as well.
